The Science Park Innovation and Incubation Centre (SPIIC) at MMUST has kicked off activities in preparation for the highly anticipated launch of the institution’s Innovation Academy. Yesterday, 11th February 2025, the Director, SPIIC, Dr. Tecla Sum started off Pre- hackathon activities in readiness for the real hackathon set to take place on Thursday, 13th and Friday,14th February 2025.
Other activities include pre-pitching for primary school, secondary, tertiary colleges, up to university level. Students have been given between 24-48 hours to prepare and provide solutions to categories of problems. Apart from hosting the pitching of ideas, the SPPIC team has already met the evaluators from Swahilipot hub, and ICT Authority who were at hand to run the innovation exhibition matrix. NACOSTI is also expected to attend and support the event.
